? 1. Logging into Senso 2.0
Access the Senso web portal:
? https://app.senso.cloud
Sign in using your school Microsoft 365 login.
Once logged in, you’ll see:
- Your classes/groups on the left
- Student devices in the main panel
- Tools along the toolbar
- Alerts to the right (depending on permissions)
?️ 2. Viewing Student Screens (Live Monitoring)
✔ How to view screens:
- Select your class
- Student device tiles load automatically
- Click a tile for a full‑screen view
Senso 2.0 provides:
- Live thumbnails
- Fast refresh rates
- Clear visibility into on‑screen activity
? 3. Monitoring Online Activity (Senso 2.0 Feed)
You will see:
- Websites opened
- Search terms
- Blocked attempts (via Lightspeed + Senso rules)
- Tab switching
- Active apps
Use this to ensure students remain focused and safe.
? 4. Messaging Students
Send discreet messages such as:
- “Please return to Teams.”
- “Check your microphone.”
- “Focus on your classwork.”
✔ To send a message:
- Select student(s)
- Click Message
- Type your message
- Choose popup or overlay
Messages appear instantly on their screens.
? 5. Locking Student Screens
This is useful when:
- Giving instructions
- Addressing behaviour
- Regaining attention
✔ To lock:
- Select student(s)
- Click Lock
✔ To unlock:
Click Unlock.
? 6. Web Blocking (Lesson‑Level Controls)
Teacher‑level blocking is temporary and applies only to selected students.
✔ To block a website:
- Select student(s)
- Click Web Block
- Enter URL
✔ To allow a website:
Use Allow Website in the toolbar.
⚠️ Permanent filtering is enforced by Lightspeed
ICT Services manage all global filtering rules.
? 7. Classroom Tools (Senso 2.0)
Depending on policy, you may see:
✔ Redirect URL
Send a webpage to all selected devices.
✔ Close Website / Close Tabs
End distracting browsing.
✔ Broadcast Teacher Screen
Show your screen to all students.
✔ Take Screenshot
Capture student screens for evidence or support.
✔ Launch Application
Open specified apps on selected devices.
Not all features are enabled for all staff.
?? 8. Classes & Groups in Senso
Classes appear based on:
- MIS (Arbor/SIMS/etc.)
- Microsoft 365 classes
- Teams Class Groups
Teachers cannot edit or create groups.
If a group is missing → ICT can correct the sync.
?️ 9. Safeguarding Alerts (Teacher View)
You may see:
- Keyword alerts
- Concerning searches
- Potential self‑harm indicators
- Bullying content
- Extremism/violence references
Teacher expectations:
✔ Review alerts for your classes
✔ Escalate concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
✔ Keep appropriate records where required
Teachers cannot:
- Modify monitoring
- View other teachers’ alerts
- Disable Senso services
?️ 10. When to Contact ICT Services
Contact ICT if:
- Your class doesn’t appear
- You cannot see student devices
- Tools aren’t responding
- A student repeatedly bypasses controls
- You notice safeguarding concerns
