? 1. Password Best Practice
Your password should be:
- At least 12 characters
- Hard to guess
- Unique to your school account
- Never shared with anyone, including friends or teachers
Avoid using:
- Pets or family names
- Dates of birth
- Reusing old passwords
? 2. Change Your Password Regularly
If you think someone else may know your password:
- Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com
- Reset it immediately
- Restart your device and sign in with the new password
? 3. Always Use MFA (Multi‑Factor Authentication)
MFA protects your account even if someone knows your password.
You should always:
- Keep the Microsoft Authenticator app installed
- Approve only the sign‑in attempts YOU requested
- Reject and report unexpected MFA prompts
? 4. Never Share Your School Login
Sharing your login means someone could:
- Access your email
- Read your files
- Impersonate you on Teams
- Break safeguarding rules
